The charity has recently re-launched their website which has been re-designed by Newton Aycliffe firm Design365. The website includes an events page to promote charity days out, charity balls and charity treks all organised by the charity and their fundraisers. The website also links to the charity’s social media pages where their friends can post photos and comments relating to the charity and their events. Take a day out’s new website includes much more detailed information about the company, including the services they offer, events, news and their friends who have helped them across the way. “Design365 is a growing company that we love working with because they take a real interest in the people whose projects they work on. Alan and his team really want to help us and we hope we can help them too, by promoting their company to others.” Peter Sheen, Take a day out. Design365, a web design company based in Newton Aycliffe, are supporting a new local charity by donating them a new web site. The charity, Take a day out was registered in late September this year. It aims to provide short break experiences for carers and families with children with additional needs in County Durham and the Tees Valley. The co-founders of Take a day out, Nathan Money and Peter Sheen both live in Sedgefield District. There are six million carers in the UK. Parents of children with additional needs often don't regard themselves as "carers". But, carers are ordinary people whose lives revolve around the needs of others who require a great deal of support that is of a type not provided by the authorities. That’s where Take a day out aims to make a difference. Nathan and Peter originally planned to support carers through the provision of guided walks. However, the needs and circumstances of carers are diverse and the charity now aims to provide short break experiences that parents and families with children with additional needs want rather than are thrust at them. Nathan and Peter always tell people that they have ambitious goals that require the formation of relationships with other people, groups, businesses and charities. They believe that people and groups working together on behalf of each other can achieve much more that working in isolation. They want Take a day out to be as ‘virtual’ as possible so that the greater part of the funds they generate can be focussed on services rather than buildings and infrastructure. “I was really pleased to help take a day out with a free website; we hope the impact the website creates will generate significant funds to help carers take some well-deserved respite.” Alan Foster, Director of Design365. Nathan and Peter really welcome the support of Design365. Nathan said, “Design365 is a growing company that we love working with because they are interested in the people whose projects they work on. Alan and his team really want to help us and we hope we can help them too by promoting their company to others.” Like Take a day out on Facebook.
